| Merit Badges Discontinued or Changed Before 1918 |

| Prior to 2015 it was not believed that
Invention or Stalking with a leaf had ever been produced. Dave Eby
did some unbelievable research where he found a relative of a 1912
Eagle who had the badges. Safety/Safety First is a puzzle. The first badge was not earned until 1916. The 1918 badge is the later design. It’s not known if the reverse colors is the earliest issue or a later manufacturing variation. |
